Sin duda alguna "La Reina del Tex Mex" sembró muchos éxitos, lo cual la coronaron como la máxima figura femenina del Tex-mex. Entre ellos cuenta con numerosos Premios a la Música Tejana (Tejano Music Awards), Premios Furia Musical y Premios Lo Nuestro. Pero sin duda su máximo logro fue el Grammy Americano, un codiciado premio que no cualquier artista logra ganar. Con su álbum en vivo en Corpus Christi, en el año 1993 y desde 1986 hasta 1998, fue la cantante femenina del año en los TMA.
